- Born in Brooklyn, New York, Paul
Banner has been a Town of Poughkeepsie, New York resident
for more than 45 years. A graduate of Spackenkill Junior
High School, Poughkeepsie High School, Emory University
and Albany Law School, he is an attorney with more than
30 years of experience. With offices located at 515 Haight
Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie, he has been a bankruptcy
trustee since 1991.
- Since 1978 Paul Banner has represented
thousands of clients in criminal and civil matters in
just about every court in Dutchess County. He has also
been assigned as a hearing officer, arbitrator and mediator
throughout the Hudson Valley.
- In addition to a long history of
community service which has included involvement with
the Lions Club, the Mill Street Loft, Town of Poughkeepsie
Soccer Club, the Mid-Hudson Gem & Mineral Society,
SCORE, Temple Beth-El and many others, Paul Banner is
a member of fraternal organizations including the Elks,
Masons and Shriners.
- He is the son of Selina and Abraham
L. Banner, an attorney and Town of Poughkeepsie Justice
(1972-78). Paul and his wife, Toni, have two children,
Adam and Liz.
- A certified mediator, former president
of the Dutchess County Bar Association (1990-91), the
Hudson Valley Bankruptcy Bar Association (1993-94); and
the Dutchess County Magistrates Association, Paul Banner
is a dedicated, considerate listener to all those who
appear in his court.
